What to do if you have found water damage in your home.
1) First and foremost take care of the reason water entered your home.
2) Clean and dry the area within 24 hours of the leak.
3) If the moisture has not been found in the first 24 hours, call a professional to come and test your indoor air for mold.
4) If mold has gained a foothold in your home and is larger than 10'x10' area, the EPA recommends that a professional handle the remediation.
